NOT JUST A DEMO! ALSO A GREAT AUTUMN WALK Rally and Ramble 8th October 12 noon, Friston Forest-

4 Oct

The proposed sale of publically owned forests has not gone away! The government is still hoping a panel of experts will help it find a way to make the sell off acceptable, even though past sales have resulted in the public losing the ability to enjoy these woods.

Action for Access and The Ramblers will be co-organising a rally and ramble on the issue of Forestry sales on Saturday 8th October meeting at 12 noon at the south end of the main car park in Friston Forest, at TV518996

Buses 12 (between Brighton and Eastbourne) and the Cuckmere Ramblerbus (between Berwick station and Seaford) pass within 150 metres. From London Victoria get the 9.47 train to Eastbourne and then a 12 bus leaving at 11.27. From Brighton get a 10.40 number 12 bus from Churchill Square. From Lewes get the 10.58 train to Seaford and change to the 12 bus.

Speakers will give examples of what has happened to Sussex woods that have already been sold off and will explain what will happen next with the campaign.

The rally will be followed by a five mile walk through Friston Forest, which should be putting on a great show of autumn tints.
